In the Operational Meteorologist role, you will be a pivotal player in the overall success of our customer’s experience. We are looking for someone who has demonstrated success in high-pressure weather forecasting situations and is able to simplify complex weather forecasts into digestible and actionable information. Ideal candidates will possess first-class communication and relationship-building skills, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
What you’ll be doing:
Forecasting for a wide variety of customers, from school districts and cities to professional sports teams
Fielding inbound calls and emails requesting forecasts and/or weather-related questions
Helping our customers make decisions around the weather: Do we cancel or delay the game? What is today's heat safety risk? How will the weather impact our tournament this weekend?
Preparing daily proactive forecasts and daily shift reports
Assisting with other customer support tasks
