Primary Care Physician
Location: Bangor, ME
Compensation: $230,000–$250,000 base salary plus 10% annual bonus

Join an independent primary care practice in Bangor that puts patient-centered care and provider support first. This practice serves a mostly senior patient population and focuses on delivering convenient, high-quality care through longer appointment times, low daily patient volume, and no on-call requirements. With an on-site urgent care center, local partnerships for labs and referrals, and a collaborative care team, you’ll have the resources you need to deliver outstanding care while enjoying work-life balance.

Position Details
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:30 PM (option for four 10-hour shifts)
No call required
Average 12–15 patients per day
Average visit length: 30 minutes (60 minutes for annual wellness visits)
Complex patients typically seen 6–8 times per year
Patient demographic: predominantly seniors, some pediatric patients
EMR: NextGen
Referral support: Anthem PicassoMD for specialist referrals, LabCorp partnership for labs
Independent primary care center (not hospital affiliated)
Urgent care center located next door
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary of $230,000–$250,000 plus 10% annual performance bonus

Qualifications
MD or DO with an active and unrestricted medical license in Maine (or ability to obtain)
Board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
Active DEA license
Clinical experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or an ambulatory care setting
